The Engine Behind Sidney’s Event Growth.

The Sidney Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) is a vital resource for event organizers aiming to make a significant impact. Established under Montana state law in 2007, Sidney’s TBID focuses on enhancing tourism through strategic marketing and event support within the city.

The TBID is funded by a $1.50 assessment on each occupied hotel room night in Sidney. These funds are reinvested into the community to promote tourism, support events, and market Sidney as a premier destination for travelers and event planners alike.

Mission & Objectives

The primary mission of the TBID is to generate overnight stays in Sidney’s lodging facilities by:

Marketing conventions and shows that benefit local tourism.

Promoting Sidney to the travel industry to attract visitors.

Recruiting major sporting events to enhance local tourism.

Funding Opportunities

Put Your Event on the Map with Our Help.

Event organizers can apply for TBID grants to assist with:

  • Marketing and promotional activities.
  • Event planning and execution costs.
  • Other expenses that align with the TBID’s mission to increase tourism.
