For Bryan McDowell, running Restorx isn’t just business—it’s family tradition. Founded in the 1980s by his father, Ben McDowell, the company began as McDowell Carpet Cleaning in Plentywood. In 1991, with encouragement from the Sidney Chamber of Commerce, the family moved operations to Sidney and rebranded as Restorx.
Specializing in residential and commercial carpet cleaning, as well as emergency and disaster restoration services, Restorx has become a trusted name in the area. Bryan, who now leads the business, finds motivation in carrying on his father’s legacy.
“I remember helping my dad during the summers growing up,” McDowell shared. “Now having my son helping me is a very special thing.”
McDowell credits the supportive local community as one of the biggest benefits of doing business in Sidney. “We’re fortunate to live in a community that supports local business,” he said. “And in our line of work—helping people—we get to meet a lot of great individuals.”
Looking ahead, McDowell plans to continue providing high-quality services while keeping pace with industry advancements. “Our goal is to maintain what we currently offer for the next 10 to 15 years while evolving with industry standards and technology,” he said.
Restorx stands as a proud example of family, service, and community rooted deeply in Sidney’s local business landscape.
