There are a number of committees
created from members and the Board of Directors.


A Chamber of Commerce is only made possible through the efforts of its committee structure and work.  

The following is a list of the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Committees:

The Agriculture Committee focuses on our economic base and how to include and promote agriculture in Chamber membership, events, and activities through recognition, education, and communication. This committee also selects the Agriculture Award recipient honored at the Chamber's Annual Awards Banquet.

This committee plans the Chamber's Annual Awards Banquet, held annually each January to celebrate the previous year's successes and honor businesses and individuals with awards. 

Bakken Brew Fest Committee

Bakken Brew Fest - September 4, 2021

Details:
The Chamber's Bakken Brew Fest Committee plans and organizes the annual Bakken Brew Fest, bringing local breweries, wineries, and cideries from the MonDak region and beyond to draw crowds of more than 500 people to Sidney for an evening of live music, craft beverages, and camaraderie.

Government Affairs Committee

Details: 
This committee is proactive in understanding the concerns and needs of the community and collaborates with state and local government, elected officials and various agencies to serve as an advocate for area businesses. The committee also works to help align portions of the Chamber’s strategic plan with the City, County and Richland Economic Development.

Details:
Founded in 1998, The Sidney Area Leadership Program (SAL) is designed to develop the leadership potential within our community. Sidney Area Leadership Program brings together individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences with demonstrated talent and commitment and offers these individuals a unique opportunity to explore the resources and challenges of the Sidney area while honing their leadership skills. The Leadership Task Force oversees class participants and assists in planning and executing the program each year.

The Sports & Rec Committee works closely with the school district to plan bids, hospitality rooms, and volunteers for sports tournaments, attends meetings to present bids for tournaments and state/divisional activities, and promotes Sidney as a site for area sporting events.

This committee plans and organizes the annual Sunrise Festival of the Arts, an event designed to connect local and regional artists, craftspeople, and authors with shoppers and enthusiasts. This full day event boasts over 45 art vendors, live demonstrations and entertainers, kids activities, and food vendors. 

Trade Promotion Committee

Details: 
This committee plans promotions throughout the year to draw people to Sidney to shop and promote Sidney as a regional trade center. It also plans the annual Christmas Stroll & Parade of Lights, a full day event designed to kick off the Christmas season with activities, events, sales, and a parade with over 50 entrants!

This committee also plans seminars and workshops to educate businesses and their employees in customer service, tax changes, debt collection, and other employer concerns.
