Laura Winters

Paralegal, Netzer, Krautter & Brown P.C.

Laura Winters is not someone who can be easily summed up in a single title. She’s a trusted legal professional, a dedicated mother, a small business owner, and a passionate creative, all roles she fills with equal parts heart, professionalism, and purpose.

For the past seven years, Laura has served as a paralegal at Netzer, Krautter & Brown, P.C., where she has become an indispensable part of the NKB team. Known for her exceptional legal knowledge, steady work ethic, and unwavering professionalism, Laura brings calm and clarity to clients navigating complex legal situations. Her empathy and attention to detail consistently shine, earning her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

“The entire team at Netzer, Krautter & Brown, P.C. is proud of Laura Winters for receiving this nomination and we are thankful to have her working with our law firm!” said the firm in a recent statement, underscoring just how deeply Laura is valued by those who work beside her.

But Laura’s story doesn’t begin or end in the office. Raised in the small town of Savage, Montana, Laura spent her twenties charting an unconventional and creative path that took her to Seattle, Central California, and Los Angeles. Along the way, she explored costume design, played music, sold vintage clothing, and thrived in the service industry. These weren’t just youthful explorations; they were formative years, instilling in Laura a deep sense of creativity, resilience, and adaptability that continues to shape her identity. That eclectic background remains a driving force in her life today.

In 2014, Laura returned to Eastern Montana, where she met her husband and began building a life rooted in family and community. She is now a proud mother of two young boys; an identity she calls her “greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.” At the same time, true to her passionate spirit, she launched a side business that taps into her lifelong passion: curating and selling vintage clothes, records, and accessories through her online boutique. This small business is more than a creative outlet; it’s a bridge between her past adventures and her present life.

Laura’s life is proof that reinvention doesn’t mean leaving your past behind; it means weaving it into something new. Whether she’s helping clients understand legal documents, sifting through estate sales for hidden treasures, or raising her family with love and intention, Laura brings authenticity, curiosity, and compassion to everything she does. Laura’s ability to balance professional excellence, entrepreneurial creativity, and hands-on parenting is a rare and inspiring combination. Her colleagues describe her as someone who brings authenticity, curiosity, and compassion into every space she enters, whether it’s a client meeting or heading out on one of vintage treasure hunts. Her journey is a vivid reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight line.  Instead, Laura Winters exemplifies how embracing the fullness of who you are, past and present, can lead to a life of deep meaning and purpose. In a world that often pressures people to choose just one identity or path, Laura stands out as a beautiful example of what it looks like to follow many and do them all with her heart.
