Alli Nelson

Owner, Wellth Management, LLC

Alli Nelson is the owner of Wellth Managment, LLC. The name is a pun that pays homage to her work in Economics. Alli says the field changed her life. “I took the principles I learned about behavior, value, and compounding effects then applied them to the individual body on my massage table. When you feel terrible, little else matters.” A 2003 graduate of Sidney High School, she was determined to see the world and leave eastern Montana in the rearview mirror. “I was never coming back,” she admits. “I’d seen enough bad times in the Badlands. I don’t rope, ride, or raise animals. But what I didn’t realize back then was how much I’d grow to love the simplicity of Sidney, the wide-open landscape, and all things water, yes, I even swim in Gartside.” Now rooted in her hometown, Alli states “Over the last 15 years, I’ve grown and pruned my garden of support. I am really happy to be a part of the inaugural ‘Over 40’ winners. I’m honored to be among such amazing women like Kathy Helmuth and Jamie Larson. I like to think all three of us fall into ‘preventative providers’. I am incredibly grateful for the people who nominated me for this award. I have some amazing teammates and cheerleaders that make this life a dream. My darling spouse JD and our precocious Violet, together with two playful pupperinos, light up our home where we concoct kitchen experiments and battle wits. Scorpio goddess Nicole, with her unparalleled thoughtfulness, and Laura’s calm, deep waters give my big thoughts safe haven. I have dozens of regular clients that trust me with their bodies and I’d like to give extra thanks to Lindsey, Lisa, Joette, and Cami for seeing something uniquely beneficial in my skills and sending everyone they know in to experience it. And of course, my own massage therapist Jenny”. Massage therapy, for Alli, isn’t luxury – it’s vital health care. She says “My clients know it’s a piece of the health pie. Skeletomuscular problems are among the leading causes of missed work and many medical professionals do not focus on issues like joint range-of-motion or muscle tension (shout out to all the PTs!). Not to mention all the sweet neurotransmitters that massage encourages. It’s probably why people think it’s a luxury, because for a dedicated hour or two, you have someone who will listen to you AND improve your health AND make you feel good.” But Alli says she’s not alone in the process, “Communication is how you get what you need and want. No matter what I may feel through my hands, the client will always be the expert in their experience so ongoing feedback is critical to the goal of Feeling Better”. Over the years, Alli has been an active community member. She has served as a Girl Scout leader, event coordinator for Sidney Young Professionals, homework and literacy mentor, chaired the Bakken Brew Fest, and sat on the Sidney Chamber of Commerce board, all while managing her own Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.. Alli Nelson’s journey, from economist to healer, proves that when you align joy with service, incredible things happen. Her story is a testament to coming home and creating space for people to feel better.
