About

Founded in 1998, Sidney Area Leadership Program is designed to develop the leadership potential within our community. Sidney Area Leadership Program brings together individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences with demonstrated talent and commitment . The program offers these selected individuals a unique opportunity to explore the resources of their community and the impact of social and economic changes on the Sidney area.

What to Expect

Leadership Sidney examines topics including: Learning Agility, Effective Management, Creative Thinking, Achieving Your Goals, Customer Service, Navigating Risk, Social Capital and Respect. Each class incorporates local community leaders as presenters and activities include "kitchen-table-style" community conversations. Classes often include a tour. Classes are interactive and delve into personal and professional growth. Each class is responsible for the completion of a community project prior to graduation. The class project is the focus of the second year of the program.
