Coming 2008

2006 was the 8th year of this celebration that was begun to recognize Sidney's heritage and those who helped make this city what it is today.  The cornerstone of the celebration is the Heritage Family.  This family is selected by the criteria of having a 59270 zip code and being able to trace their roots back to the settling of this valley in the early 1900's. The family has been honored in the past by the entire community with a parade, a free feed, recognition at the beginning of the entertainment and a family portrait which is sponsored by local businesses. Last years family was the Mercer family.  We encourage everyone to take part in this day. If you have a family that you think should be honored, please contact the Chamber for their nomination.  To participate in the parade please click the link below and fill out the registration form and return it to the Chamber before June 1st.
